House of Wax (1953)

★★½☆ – (1953) – A man who’s disfigured in a museum fire creates wax molds of the deceased. Gets off to a strong start, but can never duplicate the excitement of the opening scene. The 3-D gimmick is mainly depth related, but isn’t needed as there are plenty of creepy moments and surprises without it.
