– (2023) – Troubled apartment patrons experience issues of the evil kind when an incantation is played in their building. Has a solid opening scene, and an absorbing buildup to the main story with well-drawn characters and realistic plights, but once the mayhem kicks in so too does redundancy. This is certainly violent, bloody, and creative, yet it pales in comparison to the bizarre bombast of Evil Dead 1 & 2 and the absolute viciousness of the 2013 remake. A worthy entry that stands on the lower side of good.
