– (2021) – When “purgers” take over America after a set curfew, survivors try to escape into Mexico. An unnecessary outing that only serves to beat to death a tired premise by prolonging the government allotted time for a day of mayhem. Characters still mean nothing while the violence against them is hard to feel compassionate about. Has plenty of ordinary action, but no extraordinary soul.
