– (1977) – A dance school student unwittingly participates for an academy run by witches. A slow developing mystery with some decent scares, top notch violence, and a freaky musical score. Imperfect in the intelligence department, but ranks as one of the best looking movies ever made.
One of my all-time favorite movies, across every genre. Fantastic cinematography with a sense of hyperreality in ways echoing Kubrick’s 2001. Goblin produces a brilliant score that stands alone by its own merit. This is a masterwork of giallo, and arguably the magnum opus of Argento’s golden period.
Thanks for reminding me about the music. I have no idea how I left that out.
