– (2020) – An epidemic of exploding students runs rampant through a high school, but plucky teens are finding ways to cope. While the first half is sometimes charming (but overly obnoxious), the second half at least aims at emotional arcs (while exploiting sadness over wimpy characters). The ultimate problem is that no one is admirable enough to emote over, neither in their lives nor their deaths. Eventually purports the meaning of life, while practically forgetting it’s about teenagers who messily blow-up.
