Dark Harvest 2: The Maize

★☆☆☆ – (2004) – A father searches for his daughters in a corn maize where two other girls were murdered. Could easily have been shown in half the time, but decides to display scene after scene of nothing happening. Inept in all areas, especially editing and pace, and eventually elicits rage.

Scarecrows

★★½☆ – (1989) – Bank robbers on the lam are stalked by living scarecrows. The entire movie plays like a nighttime finale, with zero character development and no explanation of the scarecrows’ powers. All in all it’s short (which helps) and often eerie and gory.
