A wholly unique vision of fate with dreamlike visuals that are as striking as the pragmatic violence. More importantly, the plot twists make for an experience in story that matches the stark aesthetic. Awkward at times, and a bit of a downer, but placing a happy conclusion after so much nightmare fuel would feel absurd.
